The Daily Pulse : X Factor Season

The fact that it's almost been a week since our last blog post scares us for a number of reasons.  Firstly, we aimed to do at LEAST one post a day, hence the blog's title, and we don't know where the days have gone, but more importantly, the fact that another week has gone by means we're another 7 days closer to Christmas!

And what makes it scarier still, is that before Christmas we've still got another very important season to get underway... (no, not Halloween)  From 29th October, we become home to this year's X Factor finalists every Saturday night!

Pulse and The X Factor have gone well together over our four and a half year history.  From Eton Road & Same Difference to Ruth Lorenzo and Joe McElderry, we've always hand picked the best of the competition.  

However last year was the first year we went all out and signed the a contract which gives us every contestant as they're voted off the programme, right up to the semi finals.  The contract puts us in the same league as long established venues on larger scenes including G-A-Y in London, Revenge in Brighton and The Nightingale in Birmingham.

Due to the extra expense involved in bringing this contract to Pulse, we have to charge a bit extra on the door.  It doesn't take a genius to work out that we usually make the most of our weekly income on a Saturday night, so to be spending thousands of pounds every weekend on extra entertainment isn't easy for such a small venue.  We make no apologies for having to charge extra to bring this sort of entertainment to our scene, particularly given the incredible value we offer on a Wednesday and Friday night as an alternative.

Last year's contract brought in a diverse crowd from all over the country, and we became an instant favourite amongst X Factor fans.  Pulse Cardiff even trended worldwide on Twitter on the day that Aiden Grimshaw performed.  These Saturday nights are electric, even if you're not an X Factor fan, and now they are even better value with our later closing time of 5:30am.

We kick off this year with an amazing Halloween Party starring not one but TWO X Factor finalists!  So come along to An Xtraordinary Halloween Party with live performances from Amelia Lily and 2 Shoes. 

And the following Saturday, the sexy boyband NU VIBE perform live on stage.  There are also possibilities for meet & greets available, so get in touch if you are interested on either of these dates!
