Welcome to a new blog from Pulse, where we'll take a look at all the latest happenings related to the music we play at the club. We'll also be revealing some exclusives, and some facinating facts you may not have known about your favourite gay venue...
First up, how can we go any further without mentioning the reunion of the year... Steps have reunited for a Greatest Hits album and now they've announced a tour to support the release. Even better, they're coming to Cardiff on Friday 13th April next year!
They performed their first number one single Tragedy on ITV1's This Morning yesterday, and they actually sang totally live! We think they sounded even better than the record, with some great harmonies. Take a listen for yourself:
Faye and H from the band were in Cardiff last week, performing in Rhinestone Mondays at the New Theatre, and Faye even managed to pop in and say hi on Saturday night! It was lovely to see her... our favourite Step!
Talking of Saturday, it was the night of the Michael Forever tribute concert at the Millennium Stadium, and despite a few hiccups, the event went ahead and was deemed a success. It was great to have such a variety of people out and about this weekend, not least because there was also a Snoop Dog concert at the Motorpoint Arena. (Also, Wales won the rugby!! Wahey!!)
In other pop news, Cher Lloyd has revealed the video to her latest single featuring Mike Posner, "With Ur Love", and whilst it's a slick vid, we're not that sure about the tune...
Maybe it's a grower... Either way it's sure to be a hit as she's still got a huge following and the novelty has yet to wear off.
X Factor Mania is well and truely taking over, with a controversial decision to axe four acts over the weekend, and some popular acts getting the chop. You really couldn't make your mind up over who you wanted to appear, so we've pushed the boat out and booked both Amelia Lily and 2 Shoes, who will kick off our X Factor season in style on Saturday 29th October. It's Halloween too so you can't miss out!!!
