The Daily Pulse : Thursday 13th October 2011

Ok, so we slacked a bit on day 2 of our 'daily blog', but had very good reason for it!

Anyone who went out last night will have seen that we completely transformed the club into an army camp, which took forever to set up but ended up looking amazing!  The staff joined in too, dressing up in camouflage to look the part!  Even Jolene Dover managed to squeeze herself back into her army dress to host her bootcamp in the club!  If you have any photos from the night, don't forget you can upload them to the website in your own gallery, and share them with other users!

Another thing that kept us very busy yesterday was the announcement that Pulse is once again the home of the X Factor finalists in Cardiff this year.  We revealed that as the vote was too close to call between Amelia Lily & 2 Shoes, we have taken the unprecedented move of booking BOTH acts to appear at the venue.  What's more, they're kicking off our X Factor season in style on Halloween weekend (Saturday 29th October), so we're having our usual huge Halloween party, with the addition of some amazing acts on stage.  Also, Jessie J is in town that night!  We genuinely can't wait!

On a slightly more boring note, but something that is beneficial to all, we are in the process of installing a new state of the art till system across the company.  The system is so advanced it can process vouchers, membership cards, and debit/credit cards, all of which we hope to implement once the system has settled in!  At the start of the week the system was installed at The Kings, and it has already made service so much faster!  The system will aid our growth as a company, with many exciting new ventures planned for 2012, so watch this space!

We're also delighted to announce that the amazing Amber Dextrous will be joining The Kings lineup from this Friday, as part of our new night "Get That Friday Feeling!"  Amber will be djing, playing your favourite hits along with some cheesy classics.  She'll also be on the decks every Monday night, bringing something a bit different to the scene.  One thing's for sure, there'll be no dodgy show tunes sang like a cat being strangled... you know that's not how we roll!  Instead the new additions to our line up will be all about having fun and complimenting an already great night out! 

Someone else that's been very busy over the last few days is Samuel Kneen, our MrGayUK entrant.  He only won our heat last Wednesday and on Monday he was whisked up to their HQ in Leeds for a photo shoot in preparation for the final.  It was a very sexy shoot, and the results can be seen here in our gallery  We'll be letting you know how to vote for Sammy as soon as we can!
